In 1971 Peter Mercovich joined the Association of Financial Advisers
(Life Underwriters Association).
In 1973 Peter Mercovich joined the Australian Insurance Institute.
In February 1980 having completed the necessary exams with the Australian
Insurance Institute Peter Mercovich gained the Diploma in Life Insurance -
Dip AII.
In 1980 he completed Stage I of the Australian Lifewriters Assn
Training Course.
In 1987 he completed Stage II of the Australian Lifewriters Assn
Training Course.
In 1988/1989 he served on the AFA Education Committee.
Having obtained the necessary education requirements and production requirements
he gained the status of "Fellow" of the AFA in January 1988 - FAFA.
Additionally he has maintained the status of Accredited Lifewriter since
it was instituted by the association.
In April 1988 he joined the Financial Planning Association of Australia
and in June 1992 after completing the requirements gained an increase in status
to "Senior Associate" - AFPA(Snr).
In 1988 he commenced studies for the Diploma of Financial Planning
through Deacon University. After completing the required subjects in 1993 he
was granted the diploma - Dip FP.
In October 1994 having attained the necessary qualifications, an increase in
status with the FPA to "Certified Financial Planner" was
applied for - CFP.
In 1995 studies were commenced with the Securities Institute for the Diploma
in Financial Markets. This was completed in 1999.
